Kverneriet was established in 2013 in a small restaurant in the city of T√łnsberg, with the mission to serve the best burgers possible. Since then, locations have been added in Majorstuen and Solli Plass (Oslo), offering the same high-quality products, but with each having its own personality, attracting a variety of guests. Over the years, Kverneriet has been featured in newspapers and top food blogs, held top spot on Tripadvisor, as well as being consistently regarded as one of Norway's best burger restaurants. This success has allowed the brand to grow to where it is today, continuously offering unique experiences in-house, as well as through our luxury takeaway service. With attention to detail, we have crafted our food, drinks, and atmosphere to give our guests everything they need for an unforgettable experience and with one thing in mind...to Serve Happiness! As the brand expands to new locations and into new adventures, we are now looking for more team members to help make our guest's experiences unforgettable.

At Kverneriet Majorstua we are now fully in our busy season and back to being open for both lunch and dinner, 7 days a week. Which means we have an opportunity to bring onboard a Chef or Sous Chef in a fulltime position, to start as soon as you are ready. 

What we do...

  • We freshly prepare all our ingredients, condiments and dishes in house. Nothing bought in or delivered frozen.
  • We work across all sections in the service kitchen.
  • We rotate through service/prep and day/night shifts so we learn all areas of the back of house.
  • We learn about our products, our role and help each other wherever we can.
  • For those who want to be a Sous Chef - We lead from the front, learn every area of management and always aim for the next step of becoming Head Chef. We communiate well, with respect and always put the team first.

We would love it if you...

  • Have experience cooking in a high tempo kitchen. 
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Want to work in an exciting, inclusive environment.
  • Are passionate about food.
  • Can speak English fluently (additional languages are a bonus).
  • Can work independently and proactively.
